The Annual BettorsWorld Turkey Day Teaser: A Thanksgiving Tradition Since 1995

There’s turkey on the table, football on the television, and a teaser ticket burning a hole in your pocket. Welcome to one of the longest-running traditions here at BettorsWorld.

For nearly three decades, we’ve been rolling out our annual Turkey Day Teaser, and 2025 marks another year of this beloved ritual. Now, let’s be clear about something upfront: this isn’t one of our strongest plays of the year. This is about embracing the spirit of the holiday—family, friends, good food, and yes, a little degenerate square action for pocket change. Every now and then, you need to throw caution to the wind and have some fun with it. That’s exactly what we’re doing here.

The premise is simple: we’re teasing all the NFL teams in action on Thanksgiving Day with a 14-point teaser. Since we’re working with four legs this year, we’ll need to dip into Sunday’s slate to complete our parlay. Let’s break down each leg.

Leg 1: Detroit Lions +11.5

The opening game sends the Green Bay Packers into Ford Field to face the Detroit Lions. Detroit enters as a short home favorite, and this NFC North showdown has major implications for both squads.

The Packers sit at 7-3-1 on the season while the Lions are 7-4 after rallying for an overtime win over the Giants in Week 12. Detroit has shown some cracks in the armor lately, going 2-2 over their last four games with losses to the Eagles and Vikings sandwiched around a couple of tough wins. They surrendered 27 points to the Giants last week and needed extra time to escape.

This Lions team isn’t the dominant force many expected, and they’re far from a playoff lock at this point. Meanwhile, Green Bay bounced back with a solid home win over Minnesota. Jordan Love has this offense humming when healthy, and the Packers have enough firepower to keep this game tight.

Our models project a Lions win in the 6-7 point range, which makes teasing either side viable. We’re going with the home team here and gladly taking Detroit +11.5.

Leg 2: Kansas City Chiefs +11

The afternoon showcase brings the Kansas City Chiefs to Arlington for what shapes up as the marquee game of the day. The Chiefs are laying three points on the road against a Cowboys team riding high after a stunning comeback win over Philadelphia.

Kansas City may have saved their season last week with an overtime win against Indianapolis. At 6-5, Patrick Mahomes and company have zero margin for error the rest of the way. This isn’t the dominant Chiefs squad we’ve grown accustomed to, but they remain dangerous and battle-tested when it matters most.

Dallas pulled off an emotional, come-from-behind win against their division rivals just days ago. Here’s the problem: it’s incredibly difficult to maintain that intensity with just four days between games. Emotional hangovers are real in the NFL, and the Cowboys are walking right into one.

Our models project a double-digit Chiefs win. This version of Kansas City may be flawed, but they’re still a better team than Dallas, and we expect them to prove it on national television. Chiefs +11 is our second leg.

Leg 3: Baltimore Ravens +7

The nightcap features the Bengals traveling to Baltimore for an AFC North battle. Joe Burrow makes his return from injury, but the timing raises serious questions. Cincinnati sits at 3-8, losers of four consecutive games with no realistic playoff path. Why rush your franchise quarterback back for a lost season?

On the other side, the Ravens are rolling. Baltimore has won five straight to climb back into the playoff picture and currently leads the AFC North. Lamar Jackson’s return to full health has transformed this team from early-season disappointment to legitimate contender.

We see absolutely no scenario where the Ravens lose this game. The Bengals are undermanned, and Baltimore is peaking at the perfect time. But with a 14-point teaser at our disposal, we’ll gladly take the extra cushion. Ravens +7 locks in as leg three.

Leg 4: Buffalo Bills +10.5

For our final leg, we’re heading to Pittsburgh for a Sunday showdown between two desperate teams. The Bills enter as road favorites against a Steelers team dealing with significant quarterback uncertainty.

Buffalo sits at 7-4, and while they’re not the juggernaut of years past, they remain in the thick of the AFC playoff race. The Bills dropped a tough game to Houston in Week 12 and need to get back on track immediately.

Pittsburgh is in a similar spot at 6-5, but their quarterback situation is murky. The Steelers’ defense has found its stride recently, ranking among the league leaders in sacks and takeaways, but the offense has sputtered without consistent play under center.

Our models project a close game, somewhere in the 2-5 point range for a Bills win. These teams match up well and both have everything to play for. Expect this one to come down to the final drive, which makes Bills +10.5 the perfect way to close out our Turkey Day Teaser.
