I dont understand your example above, could you explain why if 20 guys call for the same game you gave the -40 to one or 2 players, but then give -48 to the other 18 or 19 players.
This doesnt make sense to me, unless you figure that nobody will bet the -48, because just like you said books have limits so they can take a hit and move the number as you can do when 1 or 2 guys bet your -40. However if you offer the next number to everyone else on the phone you have opened yourself up to taking 18 more hits at the same number.

Lance or Don Best, Where does the late injury info come from? Does Don Best have a contact in the press box at every arena? Do the major betting syndicates also have a contact? You almost always see some line movement a couple minutes before the injury is posted on DB so somebody is getting the info before the books.

BIg Money I certainly did answer your question or at least did the best I can. Maybe this will make it very clear and easy to understand. Please dont ever start a question with Fred said this. We have established over and over in this forum that Fred will lie and manipulate any way he can to benefit Fred. Please re-read the whole forum to understand better. I am sure when you are done counting the 2 or 3 attempts to manipulate the forum, the 3 or 4 out and out lies, and the 3 or 4 admissions at a later time you will see my point better. That asking me any question and starting it with Fred said this is really kind of silly.

I can only really say it takes many years to really understand fully what goes on in this business. Even then top experts disagree often. To help clear it up the answer to your question is no. When the 20 guys call for the 40 cents at once it is simple. They are all only calling for the 40 cents. They dont want the 48 cent line which is why they all called at once for the 40. The 48 is no good to them.

Don Best gets its "limited" injury information from Sportsticker. They don't have any contacts more than me or you. Matter of fact you can get the lineup info that don best has for starting and probable lineups etc, on the net for free in several places.

As for other injuries it would seem to me that people at the Don Best sports dept' do a good job of keeping "in touch" with info on the satellites etc.

It is not unusual to be watching an event on the dish (ie. an NBA preview b4 the game) and here the announcers state that "X is out for this game"

and then see the alert come up on the screen moments later.

I know you did a little research for us in the past so I am hoping you wont mind helping again. Can you put together a list of books for me that have a higher guaranteed limit then 5 dimes in baseball? I know many that guarantee 5 dimes. I even know of one that guaranteed 7 dimes last year. I am curious because I am trying to get ready for the season and I can use this as a measure for our book.

The problem is nowadays there are more sportsbooks then people in the world. I dont have the time to do this research. If anyone knows anyplace that guarantees more then 5 dimes please let me know.

All right, I know the thread is getting old, I know Lance will probably either (a) flame me, or (b) ignore the thread for good. But the accusation that started this threat was never answered. Just a bunch of character questioning and name calling.

I just wanted to know if Skybook intentionally quoted a different line to Fred+ than was the current Skybook line, based on (1) the obvious observation that Skybook's line was on one side of the Don Best Feed consensus, and (2) the knowledge that the particular player was likely to be playing that side.

As Dana has said in his post, one criteria for a book being on the DB feed is that the books honor the line that is shown. At least for the first one that calls and asks for it. So the question is, was Fred+ the first one to ask for it? Did anyone at all ask for it? Or was he in a long line behind others who asked first? This is really the only issue that ever was important in this really long threat.
