I cant really remember the stat but its something like this.
In the last 20 years if the Redskins win their last home game before the election the republicans win the presidency.
Anyone can feel free to step in and correct me if you have heard this. Sorry I know the stat is correct I just dont know how many years it goes back.

jpehl...redskins rule is the following:

if skins win last home game before election the incumbent party wins - if they lose then the opposition wins

this has held true 17 of last 18 elections - however, that one miss was in 2004
