England vs. Slovenia

The question going through most minds at the World is as follows: What is wrong with England? They entered the Tournament as one of the favorites but have failed to win in their first two tries. They tied the Americans and then also tied against Algeria. They find themselves in a must win situation against an inferior opponent, Slovenia. Will Wayne Rooney and company get the job done? Only time will tell. Slovenia isn’t nearly as talented, but they are a feisty bunch with a desire to win. They will see that Algeria, who they beat, were able to tie the English. This will make them think they can win. This will be a fast paced and edge of the seat type Game.
Slovenia isn’t as good as their record thus far would lead you to believe. They scored an easy goal on Algeria to win 1-0, and tied the Americans after jumping out to a fast start. They led 2-0 at HT, but quickly saw their lead evaporate. Team USA scored on a free kick to make it 3-2, but the Scorewas inexplicably waved off and the Game ended 2-2. They sit atop Group C with 4 points, but only truly deserve 3. They could very easily be 0-1-1 at this point. If they don’t bring everything they’ve got against England then the Limeys will make quick work of them.
Slovenia plays rough and will almost certainly be yellow carded a few times. They had Team USA on their toes the entire time. Despite being from a nation of just 2 million, the Slovenian Team takes slack from nobody. They fully believe they can and will win the World Cup. They also like to get off to a fast start. If they can jump out in front early they may be able to hold England off. This could be the key to them winning.
England has to step their intensity up if they hope to advance past the group stage. They haven’t been knocked out in this part of the World Cup since 1958. Fans are upset and they let star striker Wayne Rooney know it by booing him. Rooney appeared to aggravate a leg that has been healing for months. England has one of the most talented teams in the world and they just aren’t playing up to their potential at the moment. Head Coach Fabio Capello thinks that all the worry is in his players head. They just need to stop thinking so much and play.
The English team has one of the best left-backs in the world in Ashley Cole. He is very strong and nearly impossible to beat. Strike Wayne Rooney has great passing ability and he is a very unselfish player. Rooney can Scoreand is considered one of the best players in the entire world. Manchester United didn’t sign him to a 30 million pounds contract for no reason. England possesses one of the best midfielder that ever lived in Stephen Garrard. He has excellent range he is a prolific scorer for a midfielder. With so many great players there is no reason that England should be in a must win position this early in the World Cup.
Bookmaker is currently offering England at -233. This looks like a slam dunk play for a team that possesses so many star players. They are in a must win situation and they will come with everything they have. Not only that, but England will be playing an opponent that is clearly outclassed. Slovenia has had a lot of luck go their way up to this point. That ends in this match. England will be an easy winner and get back on track.
