If there's one thing bettors learn year after year this time of year, it's that teams that have to win, to get in, often have a hard time doing so. Just look at Yesterdays results with the Eagles, Jets, Broncos and Bucs all going down. An NFL team needing a win to stay alive playing against a team playing for nothing but pride, is at a major disadvantage. The team playing for pride is under no pressure. They can open up the playbook and take chances they normally wouldn't take. While the team fighting to stay alive is generally tight, playing close to the vest and not taking any big gambles. We see it year after year and this game is no different. Division rivals and the Packers would love to be able to send the Bears packing and end their season.

As a result of the way the games played out on Sunday, the Bears are still alive for the playoffs. They need to win their final two and need the Vikings to lose next week to the Giants in a game that won't mean anything to New York. It's still a long shot and they still have to get by the Packers tonight. When these two played earlier in the year the Packers ran wild over the Bears and rushed for 200 yards, the worst defensive performance of the year for Chicago. Since that game, the Bears have won 3 of 4 while the Packers have lost 4 straight.

The temperature at game time tonight is expected to be 0 degrees with the wind chill making it feel like 10 below. The Bears have been the better, more consistent team all year long. They have a revenge motive, the home field and a chance to make the playoffs. We'll lean towards the Bears here tonight but it's a weak lean. We think the oddsmakers have it right on this one as far as the number goes which should dictate a pass all together which is exactly what we'll be doing in the real world.
