LSU has fallen off a cliff and rumors are surfacing about Les Miles being on his way out. With three straight losses, the Tigers will need to find some motivation when they take on Texas A&M this weekend. The Tigers are a -5.5 point home favorite at 5 Dimes Sportsbook.

It wasn’t so long ago that LSU was the No. 2 team in the country and undefeated. But those days are long gone as they could easily finish with Four Conference losses. The Tigers haven’t done much on offense lately and without an elite defense, that has hurt their chances. Their three straight losses have all been by at least 14 points.

Texas A&M hasn’t been much better against elite teams in the SEC as they sport the same record. The Aggies are at least coming off a couple wins, the most recent being a 25-0 win at Vanderbilt. But against better teams, much like LSU, A&M hasn’t had the needed offense to come out on top.

The head of A&M’s problems are at the quarterback position where neither Kyler Murray nor Kyle Allen has been able to hold down the position. Murray was handed the starting gig a month ago, but he has just 5 TDs and 7 INTs on the year so Allen was the starter again at Vandy and he’ll likely lead the team against LSU. Allen has been the better QB, but struggled against Alabama and Ole Miss so Murray was put in. The somewhat good news is that the Aggies have been running the ball well. Tra Carson has surpassed 100 yards in Four straight Games, and that’s something they’ll need to get going in this one.

Both of these defenses can be beat, it’s just a matter of how much the offenses can actually do. A&M is better with Allen at the helm and as seen in the win against Vandy, that should help this offense a bit.

LSU’s situation isn’t much better with Brandon Harris at quarterback, who has three TDs and Four INTs during the losing streak. When their running Game stopped working, Harris was asked to do more and that hasn’t worked out too well. The Tigers need Leonard Fournette and the ground Game to churn out yards, otherwise it’s too hard for Harris to have success in the offense by himself. That’s a main reason they haven’t scored more than 17 points in their three losses. Fournette is the key and while he had a good Game against Ole Miss, still only averaged 4.3 yards per carry.

LSU has won and covered in Four straight recent meetings (all as the favorite) but with how much the Tigers have struggled as of late, that streak could easily fall. Neither one of these teams has been great against the spread this year, and right now they are only playing for a better bowl Game. For these teams combined, the under has hit in all 10 of their previous November Games.
