Michigan won the Big 10 last season and oddsmakers have them and Ohio State, once again, battling it out for the conference title. While there are some solid teams in the conference it would not be a surprise if the final regular season game between Michigan and Ohio State is for all the marbles, once again.

Here are the futures odds for the winner of the 2023 Big 10 title game.

Ohio State 2.63

Ohio State lost the big game against Michigan last season but still made the playoffs losing to eventual champion Georgia in the CFP semifinals. Star QB C.J. Stroud and a few linemen were lost to the NFL but the Buckeyes are still stacked. Marvin Harrison Jr. may be the best WR in the nation and TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams lead a solid ground attack. Kyle McCord and Devin Brown will battle it out for the starting QB spot and while OSU has the skill players and should have a solid defense the one main concern is the offensive line.

Michigan 2.88

Michigan returns QB J.J. McCarthy and they may have the best 1-2 RB punch in the nation with Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards. The team used the transfer portal to bolster what should be one of the best offensive lines and the defense returns seven starters. The Wolverines are loaded on both sides of the ball and they have the advantage of playing host to Ohio State in the finale this season.

Penn State 6.50

Penn State has a rising star in QB Drew Allen and he will have a lot of help from the solid RB duo of Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen. The offensive line, led by future first-round pick Olu Fashanu, should be great and the defense may be one of the best in the Big 10. The WR corps is the big question mark with the team losing its top two receivers. While the Nittany Lions play host to Michigan they have to hit the road to face Ohio State.

Wisconsin 8.50

Luke Fickell takes the helm for Wisconsin, who may have a solid offense with some good skill players and North Carolina transfer Phil Longo under center. The defense returns eight starters and the schedule favors the Badgers, as they host Iowa and Ohio State and do not have to face Michigan or Penn State.

Iowa 11.00

Iowa made the Big 10 title game last season despite only averaging 17.7 ppg. Michigan transfer Cole McNamara takes over under center, the Hawkeyes used the transfer portal to bolster their WR corps, and RB Kaleb Johnson is a rising star. The D should be great again despite losing some key players and while in the Big 10 West Iowa does not face Michigan or Ohio State but has two tough road games facing Penn State and Wisconsin.

Minnesota 26.00

Minnesota may have a great passing attack led by Athan Kaliakmanis but they will miss RB Mohamed Ibrahim. The Golden Gophers have young talent but lost three offensive lineman and while the defense held teams to an average of 13.8 ppg the unit only returns five starters. In the Big 10 West they face Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State in the crossover facing the last two teams on the road.

Maryland 51.00

Maryland won eight games last season and returns QB Taulia Tagovailoa but the offensive line returns one starter and the defense may also be an issue. At least they play host to Michigan and Penn State in the Big 10 East.

Illinois 61.00

Illinois won nine games last season but getting to that mark this season is a tall task. Their D led the Big 10 only allowing 12.8 ppg but they lost some key players as well as their defensive coordinator. The team also lost their starting QB and RB, so the Fighting Illini have some big question marks on both sides of the ball.

Nebraska 61.00

Nebraska used the transfer portal to fill their QB and RB needs but the big question for the team is can their defense improve after giving up an average of 27.6 ppg last season?

Purdue 151.00

Purdue is like Nebraska in filling needs on offense through the transfer portal. However, their defense that gave up an average of 27.4 ppg only returns four starters.

Michigan State 151.00

Michigan State took a hit when starting QB Payton Thorne and WR Keon Coleman decided to transfer after spring practice. The Spartans have a lot of new additions through the transfer portal and the defense that ranked 12th in the division in run D and gave up an average of 30.4 ppg is a work in progress.

Rutgers 251.00

Rutgers has a solid run game and the defense returns seven starters but repeating last season’s winning record is a tall task. This is especially the case with a killer schedule that includes four road games facing Michigan, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Penn State.

Northwestern 376.00

Northwestern is in disarray with the hazing scandal and the lawsuits coming from it. The scandal cost Pat Fitzgerald his job and because of all of the issues many key players transferred.

Indiana 376.00

Indiana has gone 6-18 in the last two seasons and while they loaded up in the transfer portal their D, which gave up 33.9 ppg last season, is still a major concern.
