Dallas (0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS) may be the most disappointing team in the NFC as one of the preseason favorites. The ‘Boys go to in-state rival Houston which has a reverse record (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS). Can Dallas turn around their season as three-point road ‘dogs?
Tennessee (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) is getting three points at the New York Giants (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS). Titans quarterback ViNCe Young was beNChed last week for Kerry Collins, but coach Jeff Fisher says he’s still the starter.
Carolina (0-2 SU, 0-2 ATS) will start rookie quarterback Jimmy Clausen for the first time as Matt Moore has been beNChed. They host the Cincinnati Bengals (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) as three point ‘dogs, who are coming off a big 15-10 home win over Baltimore.
Atlanta (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) is trying to prove it’s a legitimate contender in the NFC South and the conference. First, they need a road win at New Orleans as 4 1/2-point ‘dogs. The Saints (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) are coming off a 25-22 road victory over San Francisco on MNF.
The NY Jets (1-1 SU, 1-1 ATS) are getting 1 1/2-points at Miami on Sunday Night Football. The offense was much better in a 28-14 win over New England last week. Miami (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS) just got a 14-10 road victory at Minnesota, helped by the shaky performance of Brett Favre.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are at Tampa Bay in a battle of surprising 2-0 teams (SU and ATS). Tampa has benefited from an easy Schedule, but quarterback Josh Freeman is the ‘real deal.’ Pittsburgh’s Dennis Dixon is hurt, with the newly signed Byron Leftwich the likely starter. The Steelers are favored by just 2 1/2-points.
The MNF Game is Chicago (2-0 SU, 1-1 ATS) hosting Green Bay (2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS) as three-point dogs. The winner gets an early leg up on the NFC North. Can the Bears prove they’re for real?
