vs.

Ravens

Week 16

NFL Pick

12/23/17

 By: Jason Green

Indianapolis Colts (3-11 SU 6-8 ATS) vs. Baltimore Ravens (8-6 SU 8-5-1 ATS)

The Colts are probably waiting for this bad season to end and they are hoping to get Andrew LUck back season. They have lost five in a row and to say their offense has struggled would be an understatement. They have failed to Scoreover 17 points in their last five Games and while this has really been a season to forget at least entering Week 16 they are balanced ranking 31st in the league in both ppg and points allowed.

At 5 dimes sportsbook the Ravens are the 14.5-point favorite with a total of 41.

The Ravens have won Four of their last five Games and while they will not catch the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North they are tied with two other teams for one of the two Wild Card berths. Their offense has been legit in the last few Games and overall they rank a legit 8th in the league in ppg. Still, Baltimore is led by their defense, which ranks 4th in the league only giving up an average of 18.3 ppg.

These teams have not faced each other since the 2014 season.

The Colts have not only covered the spread in nine of their last 10 Games against the Ravens, but have covered in five of their last six Games against them in Baltimore.

In their last Game the Colts were at home and they lost to the Denver Broncos 25-13. They were outscored 18-3 in the 2nd half and they were out0-GAined 462 yards to 228 yards. Indy only had 70 rushing yards in the Game and even though they were not penalized much and Denver was and the Broncos committed the Game’s only turnover the Colts still lost pretty badly at home. Jacoby Brissett passed for 158 yards with no TD and no INT and Four players had at least 33 receiving yards. Frank Gore may be on his last legs with the Colts and he struggled in the Game only rushing for 31 yards averaging only 3.1 yards per carry and this is after rushing for 130 yards in the previous Game.

The Colts and their less than dynamic offense have their work cut out for them in this Game facing a Baltimore D that ranks 9th in the league against the pass and 14th against the run. On the season Indianapolis is only 1-6 on the road.

The Ravens were on the road in their last Game and they beat the Cleveland Browns 27-10. They shut out Cleveland in the 2nd half and for the Game they had 376 yards and only allowed 266 yards and they forced Four turnovers, 2 INT 2 fumbles, and they did not commit any. Joe FlACCo passed for 288 yards with a TD and no picks and Mike Wallace and Benjamin Watson combined for 163 receiving yards and Javorius Allen rushed for 70 yards. FlACCo has five TD in his last three Games and in his last Four Games he has only been picked off oNCe.

The Colts are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 road Games, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 Games, and in their last 6 Games they have an Under record of 6-0.

The Ravens are 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 Games, 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 home Games against a team with a losing road record, and in their last 10 Games they have an Over record of 7-3.

Jason’s Pick: Ok, so the Ravens have a lot to play for and have been playing well, but something tells me they will not blow out the Colts. I think they will get the W and stay in the playoff picture, but Indianapolis will play pretty well for a change and they will cover getting 14.5 points even on the road.
