The Bears have won three in a row and they are a 5.5-favorite in this game facing the Raiders in London with a total sitting at 40.5.

The public has been baking the Raiders for this game across the pond, as they opened as a 6.5-point underdog and as of Thursday are a 5.5-point underdog.

The Bears have issues on offense and their starting QB in Mitchell Trubisky is out for this game, but the defense has been great. Khalil Mack leads the defense for the Bears, and he will be facing his old team in this game.

In their last games the Bears beat the Minnesota Vikings 16-6 and the Raiders beat the Indianapolis Colts 31-24.

The Raiders are sitting at 2-2 and they have not faced the Bears since the 2015 season. Chicago has covered the spread in their last six games facing Oakland.

A Good Injury?

It is never a good thing when a player gets hurt but after Trubisky went down in the win over Minnesota Chase Daniel came in and played well. He passed for 195 yards with a TD and no INT and he will get the start in this game.

Trubisky has struggled to lead the offense for Chicago this season and Daniel gave the offense a boost in the last game.

The Bears held the Vikings to only 222 total yards in their last game and kept Dalvin Cook in check holding Minnesota to only 40 rushing yards.

The Bears only rushed for 72 yards with David Montgomery leading the way with 53 yards, but he only averaged 2.5 yards per carry.

Chicago does not have a great WR corps and the run game has not been that good with Montgomery leading the team with 200 rushing yards after four games and is only averaging 3.4 yards per carry.

Oakland played pretty good on D in their win over the Colts in their last game and on the season, they rank in the middle of the pack in terms of run defense but only 27th in pass defense, so Daniel will have his chances in this non-conference game.

Fast Start Helps

In the Raiders 31-24 win over the Colts they got off to a fast start scoring a TD on three of their first four drives. They rushed for 188 yards while holding the Colts to 81 rushing yards and they had a pick-six late in the game, which iced the win for them.

Derek Carr passed for 189 yards, only averaging 6.1 yards per completion, with two TD and was not picked off. Darren Walker led the team with 53 receiving yards and Josh Jacobs led the team with 79 rushing yards averaging a legit 4.6 yards per carry. Trevor Davis chimed in for 74 rushing yards on only two carries, as he had a 60-yard TD scamper in the game.

Carr has been up and down on the season but has played better in the last two games with four TD and only one INT.

Chicago’s backbone is obviously their defense, which ranks 12th in the league in defending the pass and 3rdin defending the run. Mack is the leader and has 4.5 sacks on the season as well as four forced fumbles.

Our Prediction

The Bears are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games and are also 5-1 ATS in their last six games following a win.

The Raiders have failed to cover in their last four games in October and are 1-5 ATS in their last six games after scoring at least 30 points in their previous game.

Even with their offensive issues have to go with the Bears in this one with their killer defense. They shut down the Vikings last week and will shut down the Raiders in this game in jolly old England winning and covering the spread.

PICK: Bears -5.5
