Dallas Cowboys (6-9 5-10 ATS) at New York Giants (5-10 8-7 ATS)

In a must-win game for both teams still in the playoff hunt, the Giants host the Cowboys in the season finale. The Cowboys are a 3-point road favorite with a total of 45.

While the total has gone from 47 to 45 since opening the 3-point spread has not changed as of Wednesday.

Both teams are still alive for the NFC title, but they have to win and hope Washington loses to Philadelphia in the late Sunday game.

The Cowboys have won three in a row and are coming off a convincing 37-17 win over the Eagles in their last game. Their offense has come alive in their winning streak where they averaged 36 ppg.

Earlier in the season in the Big D, the Cowboys beat the Giants 37-34.

After winning four in a row the Giants are back to their losing ways dropping three in a row. They lost to the Ravens 27-13 in their last game and in their three-game skid their offense has been inept averaging 8.6 ppg. The team has not scored over 20 points in five straight games.

The Cowboys have covered the spread in six of their last seven games facing the Giants.

Staying Alive

The Cowboys stayed alive in the playoff race in their 37-17 win over the Eagles in their last game. They ranked up 513 yards (362 passing yards 151 rushing yards) and while they gave up 477 yards they forced three turnovers.

Andy Dalton has been solid in the Dallas win streak with seven TD and only one INT. He has all the weapons with the likes of Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Michael Gallup, who all have at least 794 receiving yards.

Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 105 yards in the Eagles game after totaling 157 yards in his previous three games.

Dallas beat the Giants earlier this season racking up 402 yards in the game where Dak Prescott was lost for the season with a knee injury.

While the New York offense has been terrible in their three-game losing streak their D has not been bad giving up an average of 24.3 ppg.

Defense Better Come Through

The Giants will need a great defensive effort to beat the Cowboys, as they cannot rely on the offense. Daniel Jones has been hobbled by a hamstring injury, which has hurt his play, but he did pass for 252 yards with a TD and no INT in the 27-13 loss to the Ravens in the last game.

Jones is the second-leading rusher with 406 yards but only 22 rushing yards in the last three games,

Lead RB Wayne Gallman needs to have a good game but he has really struggled in the last two games rushing for 27 yards and 29 yards respectively. Look for him to shoulder a big load this Sunday facing a Dallas run defense that is the worst in the league giving up an average of 161.1 rushing yards per game.

Prediction

The Cowboys have covered the spread in five of their last seven games while the Giants have failed to cover in four of their last five games,

Hate to say it as a Washington fan, but I have to go with the Cowboys in this game. Their offense is peaking at the right time and will be facing a struggling Giants team that has an injured QB. I see a balanced game from America’s Team again and while New York may put up a fight Dallas will win and cover.

PICK: Cowboys -3
