The Steelers are coming off a loss and in a Thursday night primetime game host a Titans’ team that won their last game.

The oddsmakers have the Steelers as a 3-point favorite with a total of 36.5 points. The public has been backing Pittsburgh so far in this AFC clash, as they opened as a 2.5-point favorite and as of Wednesday are a 3-point favorite.

On the season the Titans are 3-4 and 4-3 ATS and the Steelers are 4-3 and are also 4-3 ATS.

The Titans had lost two in a row before a 28-23 home win over the Atlanta Falcons. They covered the spread as a 2.5-point underdog after failing to cover in their previous two games.

The Steelers had won two in a row before a 20-10 home loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in their last game. They did not cover as a 2.5-point underdog and they had covered the spread in their previous two games.

These teams last met in the 2021 season in Pittsburgh where the Steelers beat the Titans 19-13.

The Levis Fit

With Ryan Tannehill out with an ankle injury in the win over the Falcons rookie Will Levis came in and became only the third QB ever to pass for four TD in his career debut. The Titans outgained the Falcons 375 yards to 342 yards and rushed for 149 yards.

Levis fell to the Titans in the beginning of the second round in the last draft after being a top 10 prospect. He will get the start again in this short week with Tannehill still ailing. In the win last week he passed for 238 yards and was not picked off, Derrick Henry rushed for 101 yards, and DeAndre Hopkins went big with 128 receiving yards and three TD.

Levis gave a jolt to a Tennessee offense that only ranks 29th in the league in passing yards per game and the team ranks a legit 13th in rushing yards per game.

Henry (526 yards 3 TD) had only his second 100+ rushing yards game of the season in the last game and is banged up and listed as questionable for this game but should get the start.

The Titans will be facing a Pittsburgh defense that only ranks 24th in the league against the pass and 28th against the run.

Not Much on Offense

In their 20-10 loss to the Jaguars the Steelers only had 261 yards, they gave up 377 yards, and only rushed for 70 yards. While they forced three turnovers, they had two of them and the second one killed their chances for a comeback.

Kenny Pickett passed for 73 yards with no TD and no IONT before being knocked out with an injury and Mitch Trubisky came in and passed for 138 yards with a score but was picked off twice. Pickett only ranks 29th in the league in QBR and is listed as questionable with a rib injury.

The Steelers only rank 29th averaging 16.1 ppg and rank 25th in passing yards per game and 28th in rushing yards per game.

Najee Harris leads the team with 313 rushing yards and only has one TD, is averaging a rather paltry 3.7 yards per carry, and only had 13 rushing yards in the last game.

George Pickens (522 yards 3 TD) is the only Pittsburgh player with more than 212 receiving yards and after two games with over 100 yards he only had 22 yards on five catches in the Jax loss.

Pittsburgh will be facing a Tennessee defense that ranks 13th in the league giving up 20 ppg and ranks 20th against the pass and 14th against the run.
