FINAL FOUR
ODDS -
PREDICTIONS
2008
And then there were four! It has been a long road, but the NCAA
tournament is finally down to the last four teams and for the first
time ever, all the #1 seeds have made it to the Final Four to make
it quite possibly one of the most talented and competitive Final
Fours in recent memory.
Even though this tournament has seen some unlikely victories, a
Cinderella team in Davidson and big time schools like Duke and
Georgetown go down very early, it has shaped up just the way all the
experts have predicted with North Carolina, UCLA, Memphis and Kansas
dominating (well, with some close calls) their competition and
making it all the way to the cream of the crop of the NCAA tourney.
Basketball fans, you are in for a treat as all four of these
teams are seemingly unbeatable with great strengths and very few
weaknesses. Here is how it will go down:
#1 NORTH CAROLINA 36-2 vs. #1 KANSAS
35-3
Out of the two match ups in the Final Four I believe this one
will have the most predictable out come. UNC coach Roy Williams will
be going up against the team he used to coach back in the day in
Kansas (so that will cause some emotion and an interesting plot
line), but even though Kansas has one of the best defenses in all of
college basketball, they won’t be able to handle the Tar Heels and
All American Tyler Hansbrough. They always say defense wins
championships, but not this time around, North Carolina is just too
good and determined to get to the championship!
Sportsbook.com lists North Carolina
at a -3 point favorite. If you want to bet the game without the
pointspread you can risk $160 to win $100 on the Tar Heels or you
can risk $100 to win $140 on the underdog Kansas
North Carolina is a perfect 4-0 against the spread in the tourney
while Kansas is 3-1.
