Broncos – 9 over Jets – It’s tempting to take the Jets here at home simply to go against the public. Anytime you see 87% of the action in a Game on one side, you need to use caution. Nothing is ever that easy. That being said, this is an opinion only. The Jets have simply been pathetic. They can’t stop anyone and they can’t move the ball. Their yards per point numbers show them as having the 2nd worst offense in the league and 3rd worst defense. Just don’t see how they can match points with Manning and the Broncos.

Browns -2 over Steelers – Browns in off largest road comeback in NFL history. Much has been made of Rothlisbergers 19-2 record against the Browns but the supporting cast each team has had, had a lot to do with those outcomes. This Browns team simply looks to be the better team here and with this small spot, we’re simply being asked to pick a straight up winner.

Bears +3.5 over Falcons – Not much to write home about for either team. Sure, the Falcons are at home where they have been money recently, but their last two home Games were against the declining Saints and the hapless Bucs. They have allowed 71 points their last two Games, albeit on the road. Cutler and his banged up Bears should be able to make a Game of this one as it’s likely decided late. In a close one, we’ll grab the points.

Packers -3 -120 (get a better price with reduced juice at 5 dimes) – We may owe the Packers an apology as we had them pegged as mediocre at best this year. We’ll wait until after this one though before issuing that apology as the Packers wins have come against the Jets, Vikings and Bears. Miami has had a week off to prepare for this one but they couldn’t stop the Chiefs and the Bills this year giving up 29 and 34 points in those Games. The Packers figure to reach the 30’s as well. Can Miami keep up? We don’t think so.

Bengals -6.5 over Panthers – AJ Green is listed as doubtful for the Bengals and that will hurt. However, we have fallen out of love with the Panthers and their oNCe great defense. The Bengals will get their points here but it’s doubtful the Panthers will get theirs. Last week it was the Patriots coming off a defensive massacre the week before whipping the Bengals. This week it’s the Bengals defense that has something to prove after giving up 43 to the Pats. Prove they will as this is a good defensive unit the Bengals have. Great spot also for teaser players as we simply can’t see the Bengals losing here.

Bills +3 -120 over Patriots – We need to be careful not to get too excited about the Pats after last weeks blowout of the Bengals. When you look at their complete body of work to date, it’s simply not impressive. They beat a Vikings team in distress and barely got by the Raiders in their other two wins. The Bills need to get the offense going and are hoping Orton is the answer. If he is, look out because this Bills defense ranks 5th overall when using yards per point to rank.

Ravens -3 -125 over Bucs – This one seems too easy. Ravens defense is still a force and this Bucs team is simply pathetic. Be careful here though. In the whacky NFL, this one has all the markings of a “what the heck happened to the Ravens?” type Game. But based on the numbers, it would appear as though the Bucs have no chance here.

Chargers -7 over Raiders – We’ll learn more about these Chargers every week and we have to remember that while they lost a squeaker to the Cards and beat Seattle, they also have the Bills, Jags and Jets in their win column. So, we’ll keep it in perspective. But these Chargers, who knocked on the door last year, sure do look like they may be ready to take the next step in what will likely be Rivers last shot. They are easily the better team here and should win this one by a couple of TD’s.
