Super Bowl rematch! The Seattle Seahawks will host the Denver Broncos in week 3 in what will be a rematch of last years Super Bowl, a Game in which the Seahawks blew the doors off of Peyton Manning and the Broncos 43-8. The Seahawks are a modest 5 point favorite at 5 dimes sportsbook with a total of 48.5.
Seattle is looking to bouNCe back from a 30-21 road loss in San Diego last week. The loss was very “un Seahawk like” when compared to last years Super Bowl team which should have Seahawks fans worried. They lost the first down battle 26-14. They lost the time of possession battle 42 minutes to 18 minutes. They were outGAined 377 to 288 and most alarming of all is that they GAve up 276 yards through the air.
The Broncos had similar problems in the stat column last week but that came in a winning effort against the Chiefs and quite frankly isn’t nearly as alarming as the Seahawks box score. The Broncos aren’t exactly known as a defensive monster. Peyton Manning and the offense are going to outScoreopponents, not shut them down with their defense.
Last week was just one Game for the Seahawks. But it was unlike any we’ve seen from them recently going back to last season. The Broncos will have to contend with the Seattle home field advantage which is tops in the NFL and we’re also not trying to suggest anyone stick a fork in Seattle. But it looks as though Manning may have some success in this Game and find things a little easier than in last years big Game. If that’s the case, the Broncos will be right there from start to finish with a chance to win this one straight up in the end. Broncos +5
