Falcons

vs.

Seahawks

Week 11

NFL Pick

11/20/17

By: Jason Green

Atlanta Falcons (5-4 SU 3-6 ATS) vs. Seattle Seahawks (6-3 SU 3-5-1 ATS)

The Falcons got a much needed win in their last Game shutting down the Cowboys to get them over .500 and they have won two of their last three Games. However, they still are in 3rd place in the NFC South and they have some work to do to get back to the playoffs. Their defense has been pretty good this season, especially in their last Game, but their offense still ranks in the middle of the pack in ppg.

At 5 dimes sportsbook the Seahawks are 2.5-point favorites with a total of 44.5.

The Seahawks are coming off a win, but it was a costly one losing star CB Richard Jefferson to a season-ending injury. Seattle has won five of their last six Games, but they are still one Game back of the L.A. Rams in the NFC West. Russell Wilson has done it all for them on offense, as he not only leads the 2nd ranked passing offense in the NFL, but also leads the team in rushing yards.

In their last Game the Falcons beat the Dallas Cowboys 27-7. They really held Dallas on D holding them to 233 total yards and while Matt Ryan did not have a big Game he played well and got some help from the run Game to the tune of 132 rushing yards. Ryan passed for 215 yards with 2 TD and 1 INT and Taylor GAbriel led three players that had at least 49 receiving yards with 58 of them on three catches. Tevin Coleman rushed for 83 yards on a 4.2 yard per carry average and he scored a TD as well.

Ryan and company will be facing a Seattle D that ranks 13th against the pass and 9th against the run, but obviously Sherman will be missed.

The Seahawks are coming off a 22-16 win over the Arizona Cardinals in their last Game, which kept them in pace with the Rams in the NFC West. Seattle had three fewer overall yards in the Game (290-287), but they forced the Games only turnover. Wilson passed for 238 yards with 2 TD and 0 INT Doug Baldwin was his main target with 95 receiving yards. The Seahawks only rushed for 75 yards in the Game and they have not had much of a run Game on the season, as Wilson leads the team in rushing and he has less than 300 yards on the ground.

The Falcons D has held up for the most part, but can Ryan lead them to the win in the Great Northwest> Seattle is a killer place to play, but the last time the Seahawks were there they only scored 14 points in a 17-14 loss to the Washington Redskins.

The Falcons are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road Games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 Games, and in their last 6 Games the total has gone Under 5 times.

The Seahawks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Games against a team with a winning record, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Games after a straight up win, and in their last 5 Games the Under record is 4-1.

Jason’s Pick: The Seahawks are at home and will rally with Sherman out and they will get the W, cover the spread, and send the Falcons back to .500.
