Ravens

vs.

Titans

Week 9

NFL Pick

11/5/17

By: Jason Green

Baltimore Ravens (4-4 SU 4-4 ATS) vs. Tennessee Titans (4-3 SU 3-4 ATS)

The Ravens snapped their two-Game win streak in their last Game and they did it in emphatic fashion laying a 40-0 beat down on the Miami Dolphins. With the win Baltimore moved to .500 on the season and they are two Games back of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. QB Joe FlACCo leads a Ravens passing offense that ranks dead last in the league and while in coNCussion protocol he should be under center this Sunday in Tennessee.

At 5 dimes sportsbook this Game has the Titans as the 3-point favorite with a total of 43.

The Titans have won two in a row, but while they played good D in their last Game their offense was not impressive scoring only 12 points on the winless Cleveland Browns. Their D has not been great on the season only ranking 26th in points against and they will look to lean on their run Game, which ranks tied for 8th in league averaging 124.6 rushing yards per Game.

The Titans are 5-2 ATS in their last seven Games facing the Ravens.

In the Ravens 40-0 blowout win over the Miami Dolphins in their last Game they did not have a ton of yards (295), but they held the Fish to 196 yards, stuffed the run, and forced two turnovers while not committing any. Joe FlACCo was 10/15 in the Game for 101 yards and a TD with 0 INT before taking a coNCussion and if he cannot go in this Game Ryan Mallet will get the start under center. Alex Collins led the Ravens with 113 rushing yards in the Game and he will get a heavy workload in this Game. The Game was Collins first 100+ yard rushing Game of the season and he will be up against a Tennessee run defense that ranks a legit 10th in the league.

One thing the Titans have going for them is that they will be rested, as they had a bye last week.

The Titans were not pretty in their last Game, which was a 12-9 OT win over the Cleveland Browns, but a win is a win. They had fewer yards in the Game (284-269), but they forced three turnovers and that was key. Marcus Mariota passed for 203 yards in the Game with no TD and no INT and Delanie Walker led three players that had at least 40 receiving yards with 66 yards.

The solid run Game of the Titans only had 80 rushing yards in the win over the Browns and DeMarco Murray led the team with 59 rushing yards, but only averaged 3.3 yards per carry.

While Baltimore ranks a solid tied for 7th in the league in pass defense their run defense only ranks 31st and Murray will be featured a lot in the backfield as will Derrick Henry, who only had 13 rushing yards against the Browns while racking up 131 yards on the ground in his previous Game.

The Ravens are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 road Games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Games following a straight up win of more than 14 points, and in their last 4 Games they have an Over record of 4-0.

The Titans are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home Games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Games after ACCumulating less than 90 yards rushing in their previous Game, and in their last 14 home Games the Over record is 9-4-1.

Jason’s Pick: I have to go with the Titans in this one, as they are coming off a bye and have covered the spread in six of their last seven home Games. They will have the better ground attack in this Game, which will be the deciding factor. Tennessee will get the win and cover the spread sending the Ravens back under .500.
