The Saints are one of the NFL’s hottest teams, winners of 6 straight and now with a healthy Drew Brees things are only looking up from here.

The Falcons on the other hand are one of the most disappointing teams this season, at 1-7 and losers of 6 straight. The season is over and it’s time to start evaluating the younger guys and see who is worth keeping and building with moving forward.

The 1-7 record doesn’t make any sense; they are a relatively healthy team with Matt Ryan, Julio, Freeman, and Ridley all healthy the offense still can’t seem to put together any consistency. The defense has been terrible, allowing 31 points per game.

New Orleans was able to steady the ship with Teddy Bridgewater at QB as Brees’ thumb healed, and his stat line of 373 yards and 3 TD’s against the Cardinals in their last game showed everyone he is back and ready to make a deep run this season.

Alvin Kamara is likely to play this week after missing time with an ankle injury, back up Lativus Murray really played well with over 100 yards in each of the last two weeks.

This matchup on Sunday will showcase two of the best wide receivers in the league, Julio Jones and Michael Thomas. Thomas leads the league with 73 receptions, while Julio only has 50 thus far.

Matt Ryan and Jones need to get back on the same page again, especially with the deep ball, as his longest reception since week 2 has been 39 yards and he is without a touchdown since week 3.

The Saints are a massive 14 point home favorite this week, but are an impressive 6-2 this year against the spread including 3-1 at home, while the Falcons are a brutal 0-4 ATS on the road.

The Falcons are 0-4 on the road this season but have hit the over in 3 of those 4 games and the Saints are 2-2 at home against on the over this year, on turf these two team should put up a lot of points, I predict a 45-20 final score.

Predicted Score – Saints 34 Falcons 14
