San Francisco 49ers (4-3 4-3 ATS) at Seattle Seahawks  (5-1 4-2 ATS)

The 49ers have won two in a row and in a big NFC Wes matchup they are on the road to face the Seahawks, who are coming off their first loss of the season. The Seahawks are a 3-point home favorite in this division game with a total of 53.5.

The public has really backed the 49ers in this game, as they opened as a 6-point underdog and as of Wednesday are a 3-point dog.

The Seahawks are coming off a 37-34 O loss to the Arizona Cardinals, which opened up the NFC West. Seattle ranks first in the league in ppg but their defense has been pretty bad and their pass defense ranks dead last in the league.

The defending NFC champion 49ers have won two straight games where their defense has killed it only allowing 22 points.

These teams have not met this season and last season they split the two games facing each other and each game was close.

San Fran is led but a run game that ranks eighth in the league in rushing yards per game and a defense that ranks fourth giving up an average of 19.4 ppg.

The Seahawks are 6-2-1 ATS in their last nine home games against the 49ers.

Defense Shows Up, Again

For the second straight game the 49ers defense was legit in only giving up 241 yards and forcing four turnovers in their 33-6 win over the New England Patriots.

Jimmy Garoppolo had two picks and no TD passing for 277 yards in the win over the Pats and it remains to be seen if he is the QB for the future for the 49ers and he only ranks 20th in he league in QBR.

Jeff Wilson Jr. rushed for 112 of the 197 yards in the win over the Patriots. San Fran is led by Raheem Mostert and while the strength of the team is the run game will Jimmy G be given the green lights against a Seahawks pass defense, which has been terrible this season?

San Fran does not have a great WR corps, but have one of the best TE’s in the league in George Kittle, who leads the team with 435 receiving yards.

Not the Wilson We are Used to Seeing

In the OT loss to the Cardinals Wilson, who has been an MVP candidate this season so far, did pass for 388 yards with three but was also picked off three times. He only had three INT until the San Fran game.

Seattle dopes have a balanced offense ranking second in the league in passing yards per game and 12th in rushing yards per game. Chris Carson leads the team with 323 rushing yards but only had 34 in the loss to the Cardinals.

Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf each have at least 519 receiving yards and they will face a San Francisco pass D that shut down Cam Newton in their last game and had three picks.

Prediction

The 49ers have covered the spread in six of their last seven road games and the Seahawks have failed to cover in their last four games facing teams from the NFC West.

The Seahawks have had issues all season on defense and Wilson had his worst game of the season in the last game. However, they are at home and have a lot of talent and the better QB. Wilson will come out gunning in this game and in a high scoring one Seattle will get the win in what will be a close game where they will also cover as well.

 PICK: Seahawks -3
