Listed below are the score predictions from our model for the NFC and AFC Championship games. There are 3 sets of predictions for each game, he 1st using full season data. The 2nd using data from the last 4 games and the 3rd using data from the last 7 games.
As you can see, regardless if which time frame parameters you use, the model suggests the Baltimore Ravens will not only advance to the Super Bowl but they’ll also cover the spot which has now climbed to -4. It also likes the game to go under the current total of 45.
In the NFC game, the model once again likes one side but isn’t sure about which team will advance. You can see that the margin shrinks when looking at only the most recent games suggesting that the Lions are a “live dog”.
The model also sees the NFC game as high scoring but right around the current total.
