The Cleveland Browns are visiting the Washington Redskins this week. The Redskins are coming off an exciting victory against their rivals, the New York Giants. The Cleveland Browns are coming into another Game with their first and second string QBs injured. The Redskins are currently -7.5 point favorites with a total of 46.
The winless Browns will have to rely on rookie Cody Kessler to get their first win of the season. The Browns occasionally inserted converted Wide Receiver Terrelle Pryor in the offense at QB last week against the Dolphins and found success moving Pryor all over the field.
The Browns are in need of weapons on offense as they are still missing injured WR Cory Coleman and suspended WR Josh Gordon so Pryor’s talents are a breath of fresh air for first year Browns coach Hugh Jackson. Terrelle Pryor comes into the Game with Fourteen receptions and has found the endzone rushing the ball.
Coming off a playoff appearaNCe last season, the Redskins came into the 2016 season with high hopes. The Redskins are dealing with up and down quarterback play from Kirk Cousins. The Redskins’ QB was given the fraNChise tag this offseason making him one of the highest paid players in the NFL, but he has yet to play up to that title and money he was given.
The pressure seems to be getting to Kirk Cousins, but the Redskins will need the QB to play like last years version of himself where he was one of the best QBs in the league. The Redskins have had a non existent rushing attack this season, running back Matt Jones only has 150 yards on 37 rushes this season.
The Browns have a chance to find their first win this week, but the lack of weapons on offense will likely cause the Browns to go another week without a win. The Redskins can get back to .500 this week if Kirk Cousins can limit the turnovers and get the ball downfield to WR Jackson and GArcon.
The Redskins should come away with another win while looking to keep pace with the undefeated Cowboys. For as much as we knock Kirk Cousins, he has found ways to keep the Redskins relevant. He has plenty of talent surrounding him, iNCluding quite possibly the best TE in the NFL right now, Jordan Reed. Redskins -7.5
