The Atlanta Falcons are beaming with confideNCe coming into their Game with Seattle this week. The Falcons defeated last year’s super bowl champions in Denver and did it with one of the most explosive offenses in the league.
The Falcons are number one in points per Game and yards per Game to start the year. Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan comes into the Game tops in the league with a QBR of 88, and Matt Ryan will be looking to challenge the Seahawks secondary often with his All-pro wide receiver Julio Jones on the outside. Matt Ryan comes into the Game ranked 4th in ACCuracy of throws of 15 yards or more and that will be challenged against the Seahawks who rank 1st in the league with the least yards given up per Game. The Falcons can win this Game in Seattle if they play to their strengths and limit turnovers on offense.
The Seahawks have one of the best home field advantages in the league, they are tied with the Broncos for the best win percentage at home since 2012. The matchup to watch this week will be between Julio Jones and Seahawks cornerback, All-Pro Richard Sherman. Sherman comes into the Game with 2 interceptions.
This Seahawks team ranks in the top 3 of the league oNCe again, only giving up 13.5 points per Game, and is also ranked number one in giving up the least yards per Game this season. On offense the Seahawks have veteran quarterback Russell Wilson who has only thrown for five touchdowns this season and one interception.
The ground Game of the Seahawks has been a staple under Head Coach Pete Carroll, but this year their dominant running Game has seen a committee of running backs forced to fill retired Marshawn LyNCh’s lime green shoes. The leading rusher for the Seahawks is Christine Michael who has 290 yards rushing for the year.
So we have a very good offense with the Falcons taking on a very good defense with the Seahawks. Both teams much weaker on the othet side of the ball with the Seahawk offense struggling to convert yards into points and the Falcon defense making it too easy for opponents to do the same.
