The Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals are heading to London for this week 8 match-up. The Redskins rank 3rd in passing yards, thanks to the reappearaNCe of fraNChise QB Kirk Cousins, who many believed went missing the first few weeks of the season. Captain Kirk is coming into the Game throwing for almost 2,000 yards already and has been one of the best quarterbacks the last 5 weeks.
Kirk started the year very slow and had every jOurnalist and beat writers questioning the high price tag that the team paid to retain him for at least one year. He looks to be earning his money and getting comfortable playing under the fraNChise tag, thanks to the help of the running Game and RB Matt Jones. The first-year starter, Jones has rushed for 460 yards and 3 touchdowns so far although Jones had a suspect week last week due to fumbling issues. The backup Chris Thompson performed well so look for him to eat into Jones’ workload.
The Redskins’ defense will have to find a way to combat the dynamic tandem of Quarterback Andy Dalton and his pro bowl wider receiver AJ Green.
The Bengals are coming into the Game trying to get back to .500. They will need a big Game from wide receiver AJ Green to win this Game. Green comes into the Game with 775 yards receiving, 5 touchdowns and 50 catches. Look for AJ Green to keep the party rolling against an under-manned Redskins secondary.
Josh Norman is under the leagues coNCussion protocol so it might be a boost for the Bengals offense if he can’t dress this week. Jeremy Hill and Gio Bernard will need to build on last week’s success as well. They were very impressive and actually looked like their former selves.
Bettorsworld Pick – Bengals must still be getting some respect in the line for who they used to be as opposed to who they are now, because the team is just plain aweful. They have beaten the Jets, Browns and Dolphins and appear to be in the mix, but thir numbers suggest otherwise. Redskins +3
